It is a great honor to present to you the 12th edition of La Ports,
the epic cycling gran fondo that will take you on a journey through some of the most impressive landscapes and forests of the region.
Take center stage in the twelfth edition of our ride.
Just as every turn of the wheel, our ride unfolds with grace and rhythm, marking a shared history of camaraderie and dedication. Join us on this cycling movement.
The ride offers two circular routes, both starting in the town of Arenys de Munt.
There will be two options for participants to choose from, the short route of 96 km and the
long one of 147 km, both with views that will not leave you indifferent.
The start will be at 8:00 a.m. on May 25, 2025 from Can Sala
de Baix, where the industrial zone is located, at the beginning of the town and very close to the MuntBikes store, an area with easy access and ample parking availability, you can bring your whole family!
The route goes through a great diversity of landscapes from beach to mountain, passing through one of the most popular areas of Maresme for its paradisiacal coasts, up to one of the high mountain points like the Santa Helena pass with 1233 m of altitude, only about 400 m difference
with Turo del
Home, which is not bad considering it is the highest mountain of the Montseny massif.
Pedaling and seeing landscapes is great, but we know that despite the bicycle being your life, you also enjoy
the good life, being treated like kings and queens, therefore we have a whole setup thought for
you.
Refreshment stops throughout the route at various points with all kinds of food such as nuts,
fruit, chocolate, among others and drinks that you will not lack.
At the finish area, we will await you with open arms, impatient to see your happy and satisfied faces and especially to see you drool at the sight of all the food prepared
including Torrent ham, farm yogurts from Montseny, Can Dani Fideuà, and Montseny beer that will not be missing.

Long Route:
If you chose this option, you must be CRAZY!
Get ready for a route with a total of 147 km and 2700 m of accumulated ascent. The start begins at Arenys de Munt and initially crosses different towns of the Maresme.
We start heading towards Arenys de Mar following Canet and St. Pol, all coastal towns, very popular for their tourist attraction where you can enjoy the best views of the Mediterranean Sea, that is, if you can stop staring at the wheel in front of you. We continue and start climbing through St. Iscle and St. Cebrià de Vallalta where we can enjoy a corridor of plane trees that create a magical landscape with the first rays of light that manage to pass through their leaves. Once we have overcome this first climb, we descend to Vallgorguina, a valley of witches and spells, and then head towards Sta. Maria de Palautordera and St. Esteve with their endless wheat fields.
The Montseny coast will be the next stage, here you will have to suffer, but also enjoy; it will be here where we can see one of the areas with the greatest diversity of flora in these lands, consequently, due to the great difference in level from one point to another of this natural site.
We descend through Santa Fe de Montseny towards Sant Marçal, where one of the most imposing beech forests in the territory guides us almost hypnotically. We continue through the towns of Arbúcies and Breda, mountain villages with a personal charm that stand out for their history and their skills in craftsmanship.
Gualba is the next town we come across, and it will make many of you feel conflicting emotions. Love, love for an idyllic landscape and asphalt that seems crafted specifically for cycling, smooth, black, virtually car-free, and hate, hate for the impossible climbs, of extreme and endless difficulty, that will make you discover that your limit was not where you thought. We pass through Campins, an area in Baix Montseny, which will help you regain all the strength needed to finish; at this point, keep in mind that you've got it!
We retrace the initial route and go from Sant Celoni to Vallgorguina and climb Collsacreu, a part that keeps ascending. It will be tough, but don't give up because now we're on the final stretch!
A steep descent through curves to the finishing area, where we'll just have the last leg of this march to complete, where eating, drinking, resting, sharing travel anecdotes, and above all... having fun will be mandatory!
Short Route:
If you chose this option thinking it would be easy, you're wrong!
This route consists of a total of 96 km and 1800 m of accumulated ascent. The start begins at Arenys de Munt and initially crosses different towns of the Maresme.
We start heading towards Arenys de Mar following Canet and St. Pol, all coastal towns, very popular for their tourist attraction where you can enjoy the best views of the Mediterranean Sea, if you can stop staring at the wheel in front of you. We continue climbing through St. Iscle and St. Cebrià de Vallalta where we can enjoy a pathway of plane trees that create a magical landscape with the first rays of light that manage to pass through their leaves. Once we have overcome this first climb, we descend to Vallgorguina, a valley of witches and mysteries, and then head towards Sta. Maria de Palautordera and St. Esteve with their endless wheat fields. The Montseny coast will be the next stage, here you will have to suffer, but also enjoy. It will be at this point where you can observe one of the areas with the greatest diversity of flora in these lands, due to the great difference in level from one point to another of this natural site. When we arrive at St. Helena, the feeling of being God and being able to observe the earth from above will take over us, looking down on the rest of the mortals (not suitable for those who suffer from vertigo).
Next, we take a good aerodynamic position as we have 15 km of descent ahead until Campins, don't stop at the bar for a beer since we already have some at the finish, and we know each other. We retrace the initial route and go from Sant Celoni to Vallgorguina climbing Collsacreu, a part that keeps ascending. It will be tough, but don't give up because now we're on the final stretch! A steep descent through curves to the finishing area where we'll just have the last leg of this march to complete, where eating, drinking, resting, sharing travel anecdotes, and above all... having fun will be mandatory!
